Happy New Year...ok a little late...but I still mean it

Sometimes I feel like there is so much to write that I don’t have enough time to say it all. Othertimes…what I have to say is not so positive and I’d do much better just keeping my mouth SHUT! So, today there’s lots to update on but I’ll make the posts brief.

New Residence
We moved from Greenwood over the
break. Nicholas loves his new school and I am closer to work. But, Rob is still in Greenwood M-F until our lease runs out there. The new place has a yard and some wooded area, so Nicholas (all of us really) is thrilled!
(new place above...old place below)
Dance Class

Robin is in dance class. She LOVES it and is doing VERY well. The sweet teacher who’s been teaching dance for 50 years is FANTASTIC, and loves Robin. Her recital is Mother’s day weekend. Her little class
of 8 girls will be chickens! He he he. I’ll HAVE to send pictures.

Science Class

Nicholas’ new school (K4-5th grade) has a science lab. His after school program is offering a special 8-week science cour
se Mad Science. The week he will learn about atoms and chemical reactions. (hide the household products!)

Christmas

What a Christmas! Having a 3 and 6 year old
in the home makes this a magical time…that’s for sure. The best thing said all day was when Robin saw what Santa brought and she said “I got just what I asked for! I got just what I asked for!” Yep…that’s on video. Despite his stomach bug Christmas Eve and some Christmas morning, Nicholas was thrilled to get a rubber BB gun (just like the one he got for his daddy). Robin made sure that we got ALL gifts from under the tree.
Pumpkin Pie
The children did a fantastic job making 3 pumpkin pies and about 6 min-pies. I had cooked a pumpkin in the crock pot back in Nov and froze the pulp. We gave one pie to our friends Brian and Amy and took 2 pies to Mom’s for Christmas! UMMMMM.
Literature Night
I recently got Nicholas a lamp to clip up in his top bunk. Last night he was so thrilled and offered to read to Robin. He was very excited about using his new reading skills to read to his sister.
Easy Bake meets Chocoholic!
The children were SO excited to get “debit cards” from My brother and Ken for Christmas. These cards (redeemable only at Target…AKA “Gift Cards”) made for an excellent shopping spree for the children. Among may other fantastic items Robin got an Easy Bake Oven!
Christmas Cards
The winning Christmas card we received was from my cousin Elise and her husband Brian. This photo card was an image an ultrasound of their baby to arrive in June…very creative!
