ok ok I'm awake!
Despite what any remaining readers may think, I have NOT fallen off the face of the earth. So here are some updates:
Thunder storms into our house
We adopted a new dog from the pound, Thunder. He is wonderful. Very fluffy and so sweet. He’s just a very large toddler (55+ lb 10 month old). The best we know he is a Boxer/Golden retriever mix.
Almost finished with First grade
Nicholas has done a pretty good job adjusting to his new school. It was rough for a bit, but he seems to be getting the hang of a new place and new friends…again! He has a very special young-lady friend. Apparently she is very athletic and a sweet girl - - he is smitten!
The same preschool
Robin is going to preschool at the same place I went to kindergarten and first grade. They renovated the facility and it is now a community building – with half of it dedicated to a childcare center. I can not tell you the flashbacks I got when I walked in the first time! Sheesh!
Baptist, Methodist, Wesleyan, Oh My!
So, we have been church hoppin’, trying to find a place here to call home. There were a few definite “NOs!” and so ho-hums along the road. We’ve visited a Wesleyan church lately and I really like it. They have 2 services at the same time (one modern and one traditional). The children seem tolike to programs for them, so we’ll head back this Sunday. We’ve been invited to a park with a family to have “tube steak”. [hot dogs!]
All in one place
Rob is here at Clemson University also now! He really likes his job with the Academic Success Center. I thin what helices most is the VERY flexible schedule. Part time temp (~30 hours a week). With his schedule and this amazing weather, we’ll be on food stamps before we know it!
The weather is beautiful here. Still renting a small house with a yard and dog pen – for cheap rent!
I need to figure out why my pictures are not displaying on this blog.
Happy Spring!
