whales, and dolphins, and rays OH MY
We had a fantastic Thanksgiving break in Florida!
Wednesday we went to Sea World. Wow how that place has changed. There were VERY fiew people and we did not stand in any lines. The children had a blast (pictures to follow). When we went in the gates the lady directed me to a window where I could renew my tickets for unlimited admission for the next 7 days! YIPEEE!
So Thursday was turkey-day at the Massey's and then at the Fairey's house. Lots of fun and goooood gravy!
Friday we were off to Sea World again for an unplanned second trip. There were more people this day (at least tripple what was there Wednesday). But we knew what we wanted to see and had another wonderful day. It is nice to have cell phones. I stood in line for the Shamu show and found seats while Rob played with the children. He just called me when he was looking for us...excellent!
Saturday was my birthday. Rob played golf with his dad and I took it easy around my dad's house until a small family gathering for dad's home made BBQ! Ummmmm....
Sunday we had a LONG drive home, but got back in time for the children to play. The bunkbeds made a GREAt ship as they watched from the "lookout" to see the animals in the water (stuffed animals...Shamu, Balu-gee, dolphin, and Sharkie).
Enjoy these...
Shamu was all decked out for the holidays...although very cute and sweet, Robin was still rather afraid of him.
Nicholas (and Robin in the background) had a blast on day 2 playing in the water fountains. After this we were headed for the car to get a change of clothes and head home. We spotted Mrs. Clause on the way and asked if they coud sit in Santa's lap. She thought these elves were a bit too soggy, but offered to speak to Santa through the window. Santa was very surprised to see them standing in the window sil waving and smiling at him.

Robin found the best of both worlds...ice cream and Shamu!
Nicholas' favorite thing (hands down) was feding the dolphins!
The whale and dolphin show was OUTSTANDING! If the tickets were not given to us, I still would have paid to see this show. Gave me chills. Check out the video on Sea Wrold's page.
Nicholas rode his first roler coaster. (we're in the last fully visible car on the left)
Nicholas bought an oyster and therfore the pearl which was inside. It is a large, perfect "female" pearl.
The viewing window of the dolphin feeding tank.A Shamu "jelly bean" car!
Robin SAID her favorite thing was the tall tower (sky needle thing) but she never rode on it. She seems to REALLY like the walrus, Shamu and petting the sting rays.
Not 10 minutes form the parking lot...
