Here is my Cub Scout before being in his first Christmas parade!

The Massey's tree...all put together and the lights on. Just waiting for the children to decorate it...

Ahhh. Decorating is a family affair at our home...

(despite what you see going on here..."you are NOT in charge of your brother!" is spoken frequently in our home!)

Can you tell that this was taken JUST BEFORE the tree fall over on Nicholas!

After we finally convinced him that there WILL STILL be a Christmas this year. We went to get a new tree stand (Mommy cracked it!)

Where to start?

I was telling Nicholas about the annual gingerbread house competition at Grove Park Inn - Asheville, NC.

He loves to make things - especially houses and forts and such. He thought it would be GREAT to be a part of that. He had a WONDERFUL idea of a cowboys and Indians theme.

"Maybe next year we can enter a house in the competition"

"Wow, Nicholas. I would not know where to even start in making something like that"

"You start at the bottom." [duhh mom!]
